The shape and style is based on patellae from the early Imperial Roman period
The carinated body is made from florets of a single pattern of opaque yellow dots set in a purple matrix and has a purple and white T+H monogram at the base of the body and which is visible from the outside only
The applied footring is purple, streaked with white
Both the inner and outer surfaces have been rotary polished and show fine concentric polishing marks
