The shape and style is based on patellae from the early Imperial Roman period
The carinated body is made from florets of a single pattern in opaque yellow, opaque green and white outlined in pale purple, in an opaque mid blue matrix. A small pale purple and white T+H monogram is set in the centre of one floret
The applied footring is opaque mid blue
Both the inner and outer surfaces have been rotary polished and show fine concentric polishing marks
